The guests of the Onitsuka Tiger x SEVENTYFIVE ‘Lay-Up 72′ instore launch will get Original Bacardi Daiquirí’s. The Daiquirí celebrated its 100th years anniversary last year. Coincidentally Onitsuka Tiger and SEVENTYFIVE had their 60th and 10th years anniversary last year as well, so all three parties saw this as an opportunity to celebrate their birthdays one more time!

The year is 1898. Jennings Stockton Cox, an engineer at the Daiquirí copper-ore mines on the outskirts of Santiago de Cuba, returns home after a hard day’s of work. Thanks to his boss, MR. Cox is well stocked with Bacardi Rum, which he gets as part of his monthly salary. And today he feels like enjoying something a little different. In a moment of inspiration our hero takes some Bacardi Rum and mixes it with fresh lime juice, sugar and ice. He then takes a sip of the world’s first Daiquirí and smiles.
