Last week I previewed two new ASICS sneakers. Both are part of the Directional Level of ASICS which you can compare to Nike Quickstrike or adidas Consortium.

This is the September release of a new ASICS GT-II colorway. A total of only 75 pairs were released today in The Netherlands and Belgium. We wanted to give this GT-II a typical 90's running look, that's why we used a white base, two strong pop colors and a speckled outsole. This GT-II comes with white and purple laces. I especially like the purple top part which can be really strong in combination with purple laces. If you want to break this big purple part you can wear them with the white laces!

Remco and me worked together with Dutch multitalent Sef on the whole Autumn/Winter 2009 Directional collection. Sef is know for being one of the people behind the Nike Air Max 90 Homegrown. You can read some info on Sef after the jump.

Here are some important facts about the ASICS Directional Level:

1. Is there an ASICS level like Nike Quickstrike or adidas Consortium?
Yes, there is a level similar to Nike Quickstrike or adidas Consortium, it's called the Directional Level!

2. How do I know if a sneaker is part of this level?
Only specials are indicated on internet as Directional releases. If not, it's not a special drop, it's just that simple!

3. Where to buy them?
At stores like: Patta, Solebox, Colette, WoodWood, SNS, Hanon Shop or Crooked Tongues. There are more great stores included in this project, so if you want to know which carry the Directional Level, please e-mail me!

Some facts about working with Sef.
ASICS, Sef, Remco & Remko worked together on the Directional collection of ASICS.

Sef, a gifted graphic designer, member of Habbekrats Reclame, 1 of the most talented Hip Hop MC's in Holland (Flinke Namen) and member of the Endorsed crew was one of the main designers behind the Nike Air Max 90 Homegrown sneaker. He was also one of the people behind the ASICS x Solebox "Here Comes The Sun" campaign.
