ASICS Gel-Lyte Speed Runovation (August)

The second part of the ASICS Runovation Series will be dropping in Holland and Belgium in a couple of days. The Runovation project is all about giving retro ASICS models a new look, something like renovating your house.

When I was a young kid (yes I am already 33), it was all about innovation. Back then we loved Air, Disc Turn, Torsion, Pump or Gel, it was something we never saw and that's why we wanted to have these futuristic sneakers. Wearing the same retros again and again is a bit boring don't you think, so lets start looking to the future again and if these new sportshoes/sneakers still look a bit weird to you, then the Runovation sneakers can be a bridge to getting used to something new!

The ASICS Runovation project is also part of the highest level of ASICS sneakers and is only available in a couple of stores in Holland and Belgium (only one store). The level doesn't have an official name yet, but for now it's called the Directional Level and you can compare it to the Nike Quickstrike level. This also means that ASICS didn't produce a lot of sneakers.
